Bigadier Sunil Chadha, an ex-NDA Artillery Officer who has served in various roles during his 37 years of service. He commanded a Rocket Regiment & two Artillery Brigades. He has in all seen operations in Siachen, Kargil, J & K and with the IPKF in Sri Lanka. He is a Helicopter Pilot & Flying Instructor. He has a passion for teaching, and has taught at School of Artillery and Army War College besides as an instructor GTO.
As an instructor GTO, he was responsible for the training of trainee GTOs at Selection Centre East, Allahabad. As Senior GTO of 11 SSB he was the go-to man for all matters related to SSB. He designed, critically assessed & oversaw the construction of various GTO tasks. He was part of several National Level Studies under DIPR on the Selection of Officers. He was responsible for the modifications to the Selection System for the induction of Women Officers. He was the reference GTO against whom all GTOs of Army, Navy, & Air Force had to standardize their assessments.
He now trains potential officers as an attempt to give back to the society a miniscule bit of all that he has received from the nation. He lives by the edict that “an assessor may be forgiven if he mistakenly recommends an underserving candidate, but it is inexcusable if the nation is denied the services of a deserving candidate.”
